I’m new to the term SWPL. haha, now I know I’m an Asian SWPL. hehe!! I do have a question. Are there two categories for SWPL. One being old money SWPL and the other Nouveau Riche SWPL ( in my definition, SWPL wannebees). if we can separate SWPL into two categories I would say that I have a distaste on the verge of vomiting for the Nouveau Riche….especially in the Asian community. Their designer handbags/clothing ..LV, Prada, Faragamo, Fendi…..sooooooo over the top and as a full package sooooo tasteless. Old money is about quality not FAD and labels. Just can’t stand the flaunting and the overt display of wealth of those Nouveau riche. Hate to say it, but particularly those from China.
